❗️9 October, in the Ocheretyne sector, the enemy launched a massive assault on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the 1st Corps of the Azov National Guard.
The enemy launched an offensive with 35 units of heavy armored vehicles (tanks and armored personnel carriers).
As a result of defensive actions, one armored tractor, 3 tanks and 16 armored personnel carriers were destroyed and damaged. The enemy also lost 41 motorcycles and two light vehicles.
Confirmed enemy losses in the sector over the last day amounted to:
Irrecoverable - 107 occupants;
sanitary - 51.
The enemy's goal was to capture the village of Shakhove.
The enemy conducted offensive actions in several waves and from different directions. At first, groups of motorcyclists moved forward, followed by columns of armored vehicles - tanks and armored personnel carriers with infantrymen.
Thanks to advance engineering mining measures and coordinated actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces units - primarily artillery crews of the Armed Forces brigades of the National Guard and crews of unmanned systems - the enemy's plans were thwarted. The enemy was forced to change routes, lost landmarks, abandoned equipment, and landed infantry in areas not previously determined.
The fiercest fighting took place near and inside the village of Volodymyrivka. The enemy managed to land 32 infantrymen there, 12 of whom were killed immediately. The rest tried to hide in destroyed houses and basements. In the evening and at night, crews of heavy bombers worked on these shelters.
As of the morning of October 10, there was no movement of enemy infantry in Volodymyrivka. The enemy assault failed.
